Zomaco's Mission

has always been to educate on quality diamonds. The market has such a variety of gems. With natural diamonds scarce, lab grown diamonds have taken jewelers by storm. Now more than ever there is a lack of transparency in the type of diamonds being sold with any online retailer. The largest discrepancy being that natural diamonds are of higher caliber than those of lab grown diamonds. This is not the case, lab grown diamonds are ethically and environmentally curated to be of the highest caliber and are much more constantly a high standard of diamond. The debate between lab grown and natural comes down purely to preferance. At Zomaco Fine Jewelry we use lab grown diamonds.

Diamonds are identified and certified under the 4 c's. Color, Clarity, Cut, Carat. These are the four categories that you should consider when purchasing your next investment piece. â€‹

Color

The color of a diamond tends to vary mostly in natural diamonds but lab grown also have different shades that go from a see through to hues of grays, blues, yellows and whites. We follow the GIA's color wheel that categorizes diamonds as Colorless (D-F), Near Colorless (G-J), Faint (K-M), Very Light (N-R), and Light (S-Z). At Zomaco we always use diamonds in the colorless range. With most of our rings certified as a D or E color.

Clarity

Diamonds have imperfections. This is measured by the clarity of the diamond. The clarity is affected by internal inclusions (fissions) and external blemishes (chips). The GIA measures these flaws from flawless to I3. At Zomaco we only will sell VS1 and VS2 diamonds which demonstrate to have minimal to no imperfections.

Cut

Diamonds are cut in multiple shapes that generate differing appearances which have an affect on the type of radiance that your diamond will fabricate. The shape of the diamond is most usually always referred to when it comes to picking a style that matches your vision. With our products we clearly label the cut of the diamond.

Carat Weight

The weight of your carat is the notoriously seen as the size of the diamond. The heavier the diamond, the more valuable the diamond becomes. This aspect of your diamond is purely a personal decision but most diamonds range from the .5 to the 2 ct weight range. The weight affects the style of your ring significantly as well as your experience with wearing your ring daily. Zomaco Fine Jewelry describes this weight of your diamond along with the weight of the gold band on your ring in our product info section of each piece.
